“MAKATA” SYNOPSIS :

MAKATA (Poet) is a 90-minute digital film about a term tagged to a Filipino who speaks and writes poetically of his love and life expressively. The narrative flow of the story depicts the evolution of Philippine literature and poetry that centers in a life of a 68 year-old former poet or `Lakandiwa ng Tondo’-LOLO KANOR (Rez Cortez) . He became mute in 2011 due to a mild stroke, but his 21 year-old grandson KIKO (Sam Concepcion) , a high school dropout supports themselves through street food vending since Kiko‘s OFW parents got separated. KIKO joins the `Konektado’ series of `Fliprap Events-Sunugan’ street rap-battle
whenever he closes his kiosks and after attending
to his grandpa’s needs. Like his `Lolo Kanor’, Kiko voices out his angst in life through poetic rap by joining rap battles. His
childhood friends JOSE (Angelo Ilagan) and SONIA (Claire Ruiz) , support him whenever he joins `Sunugan’ rap battle. Jose is the `Prinsipe ng Bigkasan’ in his senior year and he visits Kiko’s pad to consult and borrow written poems from Lolo Kanor. Jose and Lolo Kanor acquaint each other on the same interest about `Balagtasan’ and negates Kiko’s flip-rap. Kiko’s pregnant live-in partner BRENDA (Dianne Medina) spells an unconventional inspiration to the poet. Lolo Kanor tries to express his non-verbal form of his poetry despite his condition. Jose provides profundity on this art. Kiko continues to hone his rap skill. Until a tragedy gives meaning to what the real
`MAKATA’ is all about.

John Fitzgerald “Jack” Kennedy (May 29, 1917 – November 22, 1963), commonly referred to by his initials JFK, was an American politician who served as the 35th President of the United States from January 1961 until his assassination in November 1963. TheCuban Missile Crisis, The Bay of Pigs Invasion, the Nuclear Test Ban Treaty, the establishment of the Peace Corps, developments in the Space Race, the building of the Berlin Wall, the Civil Rights Movement, the “New Frontier” domestic program, abolishment of the federal death penalty in the District of Columbia, and increased U.S. involvement in the Vietnam War all took place during his presidency.
Kennedy’s time in office is also marked by high tensions with Communist states, Cuba in particular. An attempt in April, 1961 at the Bay of Pigs to overthrow the country’s dictator, Fidel Castro, was thwarted by armed forces within three days. His administration subsequently rejected plans by the Joint Chiefs of Staff to orchestrate false-flag attacks on American soil in order to gain public approval for a war against Cuba. In October 1962, it was discovered Soviet ballistic missiles had been deployed in Cuba; the resulting period of unease, often termed the Cuban Missile Crisis, is seen by many historians as the closest the human race has ever come to nuclear war.
After military service as commander of PT boats PT-109 and PT-59 during World War II in the South Pacific, Kennedy representedMassachusetts’s 11th congressional district in the U.S. House of Representatives from 1947 to 1953 as a Democrat. Thereafter, he served in the U.S. Senate from that state from 1953 until 1960. Kennedy defeated Vice President and Republican candidate Richard Nixon in the 1960 U.S. Presidential Election. At age 43, he was the youngest man to have been elected to the office, the second-youngest president (after Theodore Roosevelt, who was 42 when he became president after the assassination of William McKinley). Kennedy was the first person born in the 20th century to serve as president. To date, Kennedy has been the only Roman Catholicpresident and the only president to have won a Pulitzer Prize, for his biography Profiles in Courage.
Kennedy was assassinated in Dallas, Texas on November 22, 1963 by a sniper at the Texas School Book Depository. Lee Harvey Oswald was arrested that afternoon as a person of interest in the crime. Dallas nightclub owner Jack Ruby mortally wounded Oswald two days later in a jail corridor, which ironically was the one place where Oswald should have been safe. The FBI and the Warren Commission officially concluded that Oswald was the lone assassin. The United States House Select Committee on Assassinations(HSCA) agreed with the conclusion that Oswald fired the shots that killed the president, but also concluded that Kennedy was probably assassinated as the result of a conspiracy.
Since the 1960s, information concerning Kennedy’s private life has come to light. Details of Kennedy’s health problems with which he struggled have become better known, especially since the 1990s. Although initially kept secret from the general public, reports of Kennedy being unfaithful in marriage have garnered much press. Kennedy ranks highly in historians’ polls of U.S. presidents, although a slight gap exists between his public reputation and his standing among academics, with the public generally more commendatory.

lance raymundo in “tulay ng san sebastian”… (now filming!)

LANCE: NEW FILM
LANCE: NEW FILM

Very catchy and intriguing, di ba naman?

“I can not reveal yet my role in this movie”, wika ni Lance sa kaibigan niyang blogger over chocolate cakes, pastries and coffee grande sa Starbucks. “All I can say is, it’s one great new action film of mine. I miss doing this. It’s been a long time na nag-action ako sa isang movie.

Hahaha.

“This is one good break for me sa mga naging hectic skeds ko on running as Councilor in San Juan”, sabi pa uli ni Lance. “Para na rin akong nag-sports o nag-gym at nag-out-of-town. I am glad that I can make my time so worthwhile and efficient.”

Look na lang po kayo sa mga pictures, taken during the shoot of TULAY NG SAN SEBASTIAN. We grabbed the pictures at Lance Raymundo’s Facebook Page.

LANCE WITH SOME RESIDENTS OF BARANGAY KABAYANAN IN SAN JUAN WHO EVEN COOKED MERIENDA FOR HIM…

lance2 lance3 lance4

Lalo na sa mga bit players na naaapi sa mga shootings, Lance goes out of his way to be of help to them.

This blogger assured to them that Lance keeps his promises. That, we assured them.

EX-MOVIE REPORTER JOSEPH YAP WHO RESIDES IN SAN JUAN, DURING HIS YOUNGER YEARS, FOURTH ON THE PHOTO IS YOUNG BLOGGER SSSIP IN MOUSTACHE, WITH OTHER MALE FRIENDS DURING A DRINKING PARTY NOT SO MANY YEARS AGO? HEHEHE...
EX-MOVIE REPORTER JOSEPH YAP (THE CHINITO GUY, THIRD FROM LEFT) WHO RESIDES IN SAN JUAN, DURING HIS YOUNGER YEARS, FOURTH ON THE PHOTO IS YOUNG BLOGGER SSSIP IN MOUSTACHE, WITH OTHER MALE FRIENDS DURING A DRINKING PARTY NOT SO MANY YEARS AGO? HEHEHE…

“Nice afternoon in Brgy. Kabayanan, San Juan! I’d like to thank May Lagajino and Family for being very kind and accommodating. I’d also like to thank the Go Family for inviting me to their Merienda Celebration after their daughter, Monica Venice received the Sacrament of Confirmation along with over 100 kids at their Parish this afternoon!”- (from Lance Raymundo’s FB Post).

Lance, go, go, go!
