We present Kanser, the longest-running play of Gantimpala Theater gets an artistic make over as a musical theater production. We have a new book and libretto. The musical compositions are divine and yes, the cast of big name stars will perform with a live orchestra in Kanser @ 35, the musical. Florante at Laura, we present it as a komedya, the prevailing and most popular theater form during the time of Francisco Balagatas. Ibong Adarna remains faithful to itscorrido origins but we made it more vibrant and electrifying as dances from Muslim cultural communities are used to highlight the quest of Don Juan. El Filibusterismohighlights the dark elements of the novel with flashback scenes that allow audiences to have a better understanding of the intentions of Dr. Jose Rizal. Speaking of our national hero, his short story El Consejos de Los Dioses is now a touring musical theater production billed “Paraisong Kayumanggi”.
