We saw all these classic horror films, luckily. And we never forgot the fear and the terror we felt when we saw these terrifying films at a young age!
There were other horror films we saw in our forty seven years of existence here on earth. But the ten films listed below were truly unforgettable for this blogger.
They are immortal film classics! If you have time in this week-long holiday vacation of Halloween, All Saints Day & All Souls Day, better grab DVD tapes of these films and watch it alone in your room! For sure, you’ll get the creeps! Bwahahaha!!!
Hope you’ll like my choices.
I will never forget these films, really.
Especially ‘The Blairwitch Project” which didn’t make me sleep all week-long when I first saw it. Oh my!!!
Happy Halloween to all avid followers of my blog! Enjoy this feature. I made it just for you all. Mwahhhhhh…..
sip & sip 🙂
1.) THE EXORCIST-
It starred the young Linda Blair being possesed by an evil spirit (or the devil himself?). Directed by William Friedkin. Nominated as Best Picture at Oscar Awards. The most haunting scene there, for this blogger, was the scene that Linda Blair turned her head counter-clockwise. It gave me the creeps!!!
2.) HALLOWEEN 1-
This is a psychological film, but indeed, very horrifying! First time we saw onscreen actual bloody killings, done by the main character-evil advocate-“Michael Myers”. Very bloody. Superbly directed and perfect screenplay!
3.) BLAIRWITCH PROJECT-
This is just a school film project which became one of the highest-grossing films in Hollywood. A very authentic and very original horror film. About three young students who became haunted in the woods. Very suspenseful. This film haunted this blogger-writer for one week! We managed not to sleep! Hahaha!
5.) THE AMITYVILLE HORROR-
A ghost story that is so hauntingly real! We were so shocked with one scene of the film that the blood poured all-over the house! The actors felt the horror themselves while shooting this film, you could actually see it in their very eyes!
7.) THE CHANGELING-
The horror film with a heart, and an art itself. It’s about the ghost of a boy who was murdered inside a big house. It touched the heart of many people who saw the film- and it became a critically-acclaimed film during the ’80’s. The ghost scenes here were so powerful, so nerve-wracking, but it will make you feel the pains of a restless and kind ghost. One of the best.
A different kind of horror film about ghosts, set in a contemporary urban setting. The technical effects in this film were so good, especially in creating the poltergeist scenes. And truth can be stranger that fiction, indeed. Coz most of the cast members in this film soon died. Leaving a curse on this film? Oh. my.
