“Latitudes exhibit at CCP”
The Cultural Center of the Philippines presents an exhibition entitled Latitudes on October 7, 2014 at the CCP.
Thirteen Artists Awardee Mark Salvatus examines the meaning and symbolism of the camouflage pattern in contrast to how it is often used and regarded. A floor installation uses the camouflage pattern to depict a small mountain range running from end to end of the hallway gallery. Salvatus expounds on the minimal and subtle presentation: “I want to challenge myself and the viewers about how they will perceive the work, and it’s okay to be confused.”
Latitudes will be on view from October 7 to November 16, 2014 at the CCP Pasilyo Vicente Manansala (2nd Floor Hallway Gallery). Viewing hours are Tuesday to Sunday at 10am to 6 pm.
