The first time Bela de Leon walked on the ramp, she really got nervous.
“Oh, gosh, I could see the people looking at me while I walk, and I really felt the jitters”, Bela recalled one time during a brief chat with a blogger. “It happened early this year at SM Masinag when Mr. Martin of The Elites Model Management included me in their fashion show entitled Flowers of May. You see, it’s really my first time. But at least, they said that I did well walking out there.”
Modelling is just a hobby for Bela. She’s more focused now in her work on being a sales representative of Century Premiere, a real estate business firm. But modelling, for her, opened new doors in her life.
“I got the opportunity of meeting people and made new friends”, she said. “And now, I’m looking forward to more modelling jobs on the side, as long as it won’t affect my present professional career.”
Just recently, Bela also did a photo shoot with two up and coming photographers- Dennis Guiriba and Will Santiago. The photo shoot was for her own portfolio for The Elites Model Management, and it was coordinated by the “Godfather” of Elites- Mr. Martin Martin.
“It was indeed a fun shoot, even it’s raining!”, Bela continued saying. “Dad Martin was so supportive of us. And the gowns I wore were terrific. They were designed by Miss Claire Dogillo.”
In the meantime, Bela’s so excited about her work on sales.
“I just transferred to Century Premiere now, and we sell residential condominiums, townhouses and other properties in Pasig, Commonwealth Avenue and Paranaque areas. I can say that we are somewhat ‘high end’, we’re the ones selling the Azure Urban Resort Residences- the one in which Paris Hilton designed. It’s the one with the man-made beach condo. That’s why it’s very high end.”
It seems, Bela is enjoying the best of both worlds.
