vince with the stagers!

It’s been a very hectic past few weeks and days for all the members of Philippine Stagers Foundation. One blogger who witnessed all their activities could really attest to that. And that blogger could only ask- “Where do they get all those energy and strength?” ‘Coz it seemed to him- it’s a SUPERHUMAN strength.

Singing, dancing, acting, and doing doing all those multi-tasking works fascinated a blogger. These members of PSF (Philippine Stagers Foundation)- the STAGERS- were indeed, unbelievable!

Sunod-sunod kasi ang ginawa nilang mga performances for the last three months since nag-kick-off ang musical play nilang Bonifacio: Isang Zarzuela. To date, more than 5oo performances na ang naisagawa nila sa nabanggit na dula. Minsan, sa isang araw ay nakakagawa pa sila ng limang performances, again we repeat, in one single day! Isn’t that amazing?

Saan kaya nila kinukuha ang “super-human” strength nila? ONLY “ANGELS” COULD DO THAT.

Nakasabay pa ng performances nila ang paggawa nila ng indie movie na Otso (shown at the National Film Festival, All Masters Edition by Sineng Pambansa) na kung saan ay sila-sila rin ang mga actors at production people. In-between breaks ay may mga provincial shows pa sila, charitable events, never-ending parties and press conferences, premiere nights, press nights, birthdays, voice lessons, at kung anik-anik pa! Nakakalokang set of schedules and this blogger had witnessed them all.

Nakakaiyak to the max. Sigawan at hiyawan ang mga estudyante after the play.

“I am so happy that our new play San Pedro Calungsod; The Musical is being endorsed by the CBCP (Catholic Bishops Conference of the Philippines). Nakakataba ng puso. Maski hindi pa nila actual na napanood ang play, they already endorsed it. And they judged our merits by our previous Bonifacio play. I mean, napanood kasi nila ang Bonifacio play namin at doon pa lang ay humanga na sila, kaya they endorsed this new play of ours- San Pedro Calungsod: The Musical. “

“Kaya nga I am now adjusting my schedules”, wika pa ni Papa Vince.

And now, back to PSF.

One week magi-stay ang grupo doon for a series of performances sa isang Unibersidad doon. Last year ay nagpunta rin sa kanila ang mga Stagers wherein they performed at that time ‘yung play na Joe: The Rocksical. This year naman, ang Bonifacio: Isang Zarzuela naman. At early next year ay babalik ulit sila para naman sa San Pedro Calungsod: The Musical.

“Dumaguete City is what I term as the golden place for our performances, simply because it’s the best audience, the best people, the perfect venue for all of us Stagers”, sabi pa ni Papa Vince Tanada sa pagwawakas.

See you all in Dumaguete City! We love you!!!!
