“It’s the best party ever na napuntahan ko so far!”

More than 40 Stagers ang nag-participate sa costume contest. Lahat ay walang itulak-kabigin. Karamihan ay taken from the characters of recent Hollywood movies, tulad nina JP Lopez at Jerie Sanchez na naka-costume ng Shrek at Fiona characters from the film Shrek. Si JM Encinas naman, ‘yung male character sa Dead Warm Bodies, si Mark Miranda as Freddy Kruger of Nightmare On Elm Street (nanalo si Mark ng second prize sa Best In Costume dito), si Raymond Rances bilang Medusa (guwapong Medusa ito!), si Jayson Bulanghagui bilang isang male nurse na zombie, si Patrick Libao bilang si Juan dela Cruz (a.k.a. Coco Martin), si Chris Hansen Lim- together with his wife Adelle and their daughter naman ang Vampire family, at marami pang iba!

Judges ng Best In Costume sina Rey Pumaloy, Pilar Mateo,  Sandy Es Mariano at Nonie Nicasio.

The more, the merrier.

On Vince’s part naman, mas hectic ang skeds niya dahil may mga pelikula pa siyang ginagawa in-between, aside from those stage performances.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN, VINCE AND THE STAGERS!!!

At the age of 25, she is hopeful about finally graduating from high school and starting a new life. However, an article entitled “China Doll” reveals details about a controversy and turns things around for Helen. Screenplay is by award-winning director Lav Diaz.
WOMAN OF THE RUINS” by director Keith Sicat” is a mystery drama in which on a storm-ravaged island, a person assumed dead reappears and ignites a frenzy of reactions, ranging from ecstatic religious fervor to fear.
Under the CINEMA ONE CURRENTS category (1 million production budget), the 10 films are:
ANGUSTIA” by director Kristian Cordero, is set in the 19th century Bicolandia where a Spanish friar falls for a woman of indigenous origins.

BUKAS NA LANG SAPAGKAT GABI NA” by director Jet Leyco is a four-part narrative of three related occurrences sparked by an accident that happens to a Filipino-Spanish priest.
ISKALAWAGS” by director Keith Deligero, a comedy, is an aching coming-of-age tale of friendship and youth set in a small town in Cebu.
SUFFOCATING ETERNITY OF AN IMAGINED PURGATORY” by director Joseph Laban is a horror story about missing kids in Marinduque who are believed to have been kidnapped by spirits of the sea.
PHILIPPINO STORY” by director Benjamin Garcia is a cautionary tale that reveals the dangers and drama behind male prostitution.
SHIFT” by Siege Ledesma tells the story of an idealistic, tomboyish, call center slacker who is mentored by a pragmatic, gay senior agent. Their interaction develops into an unconventional relationship that eventually challenges their most personal convinctions.
BENDOR” by director Ralston Jover is set in Manila’s Quiapo Church 40 days before the annual Good Friday procession of the miraculous 400-year-old Black Nazarene statue. An early morning mass is disrupted when a candle vendor finds a blood-soaked box containing a dead fetus.
RIDDLES OF MY HOMECOMING” by Davao-based director Arnel Mardoquio presents an insight into the lives of Lumads and Moros of Mindanao as it depicts the belief that when a person dies, his soul returns to his homeland.

“COFFEE WITH JM”

JM,
I TOLD YOU TO BELIEVE…
I TOLD YOU TO BELIEVE- IN YOUR DREAMS…
THAT,
LIFE WILL BE GRATEFUL TO YOU
IF YOU ONLY FOLLOW YOUR DREAMS…

AND YOU SMILED THEN
YOU LOOKED STRAIGHT IN MY EYES
AND I SAW THE SPARKLE IN THOSE CUTE LITTLE EYES OF YOURS…

BEFORE WE PARTED WAYS,
I ALSO TOLD YOU- “I LOVE MY BABY”.
AND YOU SMILED AGAIN…
YOU KNEW.
AND YOU SAID, YOU ALREADY SAW ME EVEN BEFORE
IN THIS WAKEFUL LIFE….

BELIEVE.
THAT WAS THE LAST TIME I SAW YOU AND I KNEW,
WE’LL SEE EACH OTHER AGAIN…
THAT WAS OUR COFFEE TIME TOGETHER.
AND IT WAS ETERNITY FOR ME.

BELIEVE.
I KNEW YOU LOVED A GIRL.
YOU TRIED TO HIDE THE TEARS FROM ME WHEN YOU SPOKE OF A GREAT LOVE…
YOU SUPPRESSED IT
INFRONT OF ME, I FELT YOU’D GET A BREAKDOWN…
AND I HAD…

— miggs cuaderno

Miggs Cuaderno in gma7’s “TROPANG POTCHI” every saturday 9am

Maliit at bata pa kasi si Miggs. He just turned 7 yrs. old.

the star that never left me… (a personal experience by robert manuguid silverio)

MY STAR SHINES ON ME… FOREVER.

SSSIP's "A.W.E." ((ATTIC of WHITE ETHEREALS!))

For over a month now, it was there. Positioned atop the night skies on my lonely, dark sleeping time… and evenings.

It was stationary.

Sometimes, it was alone amidst the voidness of the clouds. In a vast, empty sky…

It just stood there…

So confidently… so man-like, so brave.

But there were times, too, that others join ‘it’ in the skies, but they were smaller and darker, compared to ‘it’.

It just appeared there outside my room one night, as I opened the backdoor steel grills to look for something at the back of the house. My room’s adjacent to the back lawn, but the angling of my room & its symmetrical view to the sky was something I never knew before. I could see perfectly the skies at night, the moon, THE STARS…

There was something within my room I couldn’t explain. I somehow could feel its alliance…

vince conquers "two artistic worlds"
vince conquers “two artistic worlds”
“It’s direk Elwood’s idea and not mine”, sabi ni Vince sa isang kaibigan niyang blogger.
In case you don’t know, ang first movie kasi ni Vince na Otso (which was shown last September sa National Film Festival’s “All Masters Edition”) ay isang box-office success, at siya ang pinaka-bida o main lead sa movie na ‘yun. It’s an enough guarantee na maraming fans and followers si Vince!
Proven kasi na may “box-office draw and attraction” na si Vince based on his first movie alone.
Todo suporta rin ang mga Stagers/theater performers-actors ni Vince sa kanyang theater group na PSF (Philippine Stagers Foundation), and some of them will even appear in some supporting roles. Especially Monique Azerreda who will play the role of a female photographer in the above-mentioned latest movie of Vince.
“It’s still too early pa at wala pa naman kami sa promo period.”
“May mga script revisions, staff meetings and the likes also. But so far, very smooth naman ang naging two days na shoot na namin. We plan to finish this film by the month of November.”
He’s got to finish the film in a month’s time!
Also by the month of November, magsisimula na ang mga theatrical runs ng susunod na stageplay ng PSF para sa kanilang 12th season for this year of 2013.
vince shines, onstage and onscreen.
vince shines, onstage and onscreen.
“To date, more than 200 performances na all-over the country ang Bonifacio: Isang Sarsuwela.
Vince Tanada: In the world of theater and movies. Happy to be experiencing “the best of both worlds”… for now.
