WHY PEOPLE SHOULDN’T MISS ‘EL PRESIDENTE’!

1

Gov. E.R. Ejercito takes pride as a real filipino.

EMILIO AGUINALDO STORY” ng Scenema Concepts International released through Viva Films starring Laguna Gov. ER ‘Jorge Estregan’ Ejercito playing the role of controversial figure Gen. Emilio Aguinaldo.

Joining Gov. ER in the cast are Christopher de Leon as Gen. Antonio Luna, Cesar Montano as Supremo Andres Bonifacio, Cristine Reyes as his first wife and the one and only Superstar Nora Aunor playing his second wife. The movie runs for two hours and forty five minutes under the helm of director Mark meilly. This is the only movie on Dolby Digital Sound and Technicolor (pastel) na gawa sa Thailand. Sobrang ganda ng kulay at tunog. Grabe! Dalawa ang theme songs ng film- one of which is EL PRESIDENTE composed by Apple D’App of Black-Eyed Peas and sang by Apple D’App himself with heavy metal band Slapshock, and the other one is AKING INANG BAYAN sang by Pagsanjan Mayor Maita Ejercito (also the wife of Gov. ER in real life).

EL PRESIDENTE: THE GEN. EMILIO AGUINALDO STORY is very rich in research materials. Kaya mahaba ang screening nito because the whole production believes in the truthfulness of the story. The producers cannot afford to compromise with the usual two-hour run.

ER Ejercito who’s so proud of the outcome of the film. “Gustuhin man naming makipagsabayan sa ibang entries on the usual running time but we believe more on the quality of the film. The actors are all good and the story is fantastic! Kaya nga kami endorsed ng DepEd and Ched because sobrang tino ng movie. You shouldn’t miss this film. Dito natin matutunghayan ang mga bagay-bagay sa history books natin- why these things happened and so on and so forth. Emilio Aguinaldo’s time.”

And here are some “historical facts” why we shouldn’t miss EL PRESIDENTE:

It’s in our history books that Gen. Emilio Aguinaldo is the one responsible for the first Philippine Republic; the first Philippine Constitution; the Philippine flag; our National Anthem; and was the first President of the Democratic Republic in Asia.

In the movie, it tackled the following salient points and events:

1.) The Tejeros Convention- the first national elections

3.) The Treaty of Paris- kung saan ibinenta ng Spanish government ang Pilipinas sa U.S. government sa halagang (Php)20 million

4.) The summary execution of Andres Bonifacio

5.) The summary execution of Gen. Antonio Luna, among others.

“We are not changing history but we would like to make history in filmaking”, huling sabi ni Gov. ER Ejercito, kasama si Ms. Mylene Enriquez ng Scenema Concepts. “Mataas ang standard ng moviegoing public natin kaya we are offering a decent and entertaining film for all of them. We would like to be remembered as producers ng magagandang pelikula. I am just so proud to be a Filipino after watching our movie. I’m sure the whole country will love EL PRESIDENTE, too.”

Anyway, 2012 MMFF Parade of Stars will be on December 23 with all major members of EL PRESIDENTE cast in the float and the movie runs regularly in theaters on December 25. Don’t miss this movie if you want to be a part of Philippine history.

Laguna Governor E.R. Ejercito loves the entertainment press.
Laguna Governor E.R. Ejercito loves the entertainment press.

More than 200 entertainment media journalists ang nagsidalo.

a historical scene in the movie "El Presidente".
a historical scene in the movie “El Presidente”.

You look so much like a real  first President of the Philippine Republic, lalo na kapag nakasakay ka sa kabayo, and yet, lumalaban ka! It’s so intense! Will it be O.K. for you, Gob E.R. to be robbed again, if ever, of the Best Actor trophy this coming Metro Manila Filmfest awards night?”

Emilio F. Aguinaldo.

Lagun province Governor E.R. Ejercito portrays a character that is so hard to internalize onscreen, yet, he did it with great gusto!
Lagun province Governor E.R. Ejercito portrays a character that is so hard to internalize onscreen, yet, he did it with great gusto!
Gov. E.R. as the First President of the Philippine Republic- Gen. Emilio F. Aguinaldo!
Gov. E.R. as the First President of the Philippine Republic- Gen. Emilio F. Aguinaldo!

Mahirap mag-portray ng isang Presidente, and at the same time, isang Presidenteng nakikipagbakbakan pa!”

In the meantime, kay tagal naming naghintay ng ganitong kagandang pelikula in so many years!

Ejercito, Nora Aunor, Cristine Reyes, Cesar Montano, Christopher de Leon, Bayani Agbayani, Alvin Anson, Felix Rocco, John Arcilla, Wendell Ramos, Ian de Leon Emilio Garcia, Mike Lloren, John Regala, Sid Lucero, Joonee Gamboa, Alan Paule, Jerico Ejercito, Gerald Ejercito, at napakarami pang iba.

“EL PRESIDENTE”, ang pelikula ng bawat Pilipino! Panoorin sa MMFF! Opens on December 25!
