keanu . . . his heartaches and his LIFE.

hollywood actor KEANU REEVES, reading a paper inside a subway train in New York. Living an ordinary man’s daily life….

and with thanks to mr. Danny Ramos , for posting it on his FB.

“This guy reading the newspaper on the subway is Keanu Reeves.

He is from a problematic family. His father was arrested when he was 12 for drug dealing and his mother was a stripper. His family moved to Canada and there he had several step dads.

He watched his girlfriend die. They were about to get married, and she died in a car accident. And also before that she had lost her baby. Since then Keanu avoids serious relationships and having kids.

He’s one of the only Hollywood stars without a Mansion. He said: ‘I live in a flat, I have everything that I need at anytime, why choose an empty house?’

One of his best friends died by overdose, he was River Phoenix (Joaquin Phoenix’s brother). Almost in the same year Keanu’s father was arrested again.

His younger sister had leukemia. Today she is cured, and he donated 70% of his gains from the movie Matrix to Hospitals that treat leukemia.

In one of his birthdays, he got to a little candy shop and bought him a cake, and started eating alone. If a fan walked by he would talk to them and offer some of the cake.

He doesn’t have bodyguards, and he doesn’t wear fancy clothes.

When they asked him about ‘Sad Keanu’, he replied: ‘You need to be happy to live, I don’t.'”

. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

Everybody’s got a story to tell. Sometimes it’s a really sad one, like his. Almost every woman reading this will react in the same way, I believe. Don’t you just feel the urge to go find him, to hug him, to listen to him and just… be a friend? Sending some love your way, Keanu…

rannie raymundo on dolphy’s long-awaited NATIONAL ARTIST AWARD!

Bakit hanggang ngayon, wala pa ring magawang paraan?

Nagtatanong lang naman. — sip & sip 🙂

SI RANNIE RAYMUNDO AY ISA SA MGA TINITINGALA AT INIIDOLONG MALE SINGERS NG BANSA! KAY DAMI NA NIYANG NAPASIKAT NA IMORTAL NA MGA AWITIN. AND COMING FROM HIM, NANINIWALA KAMI MAS LALO NA TALAGANG DESERVING NGA SI DOLPHY NA MAKAMTAN ANG “NATIONAL ARTIST AWARD”!

HETO, AT NA-GRAB NAMIN SA KANYANG FACEBOOK STATUS ANG NAGING PAHAYAG NI RANNIE, HETO ANG MGA NAGING PAHAYAG NIYA:

rannie: a ‘green’ (la sallite) man…

“I was asked by one reporter the other day…. “Paano ba talaga maging National Artist?” My answer….”Ay napakadali! I know the secrets…. 1) You have to be part or close to a certain CLIQUE…. at ang pinaka importante…. 2) You have to be…. DEAD! I believe that the LIVING draws inspiration from the LIVING rather than the dead. Hindi masama o kasalanan ang mag asam ng National Artist status… Eh kung ito ay “inaaward” habang nabubuhay pa ang tao… Di hamak mas marami ang magpupursige at magsusumikap. In the case of MANG DOLPHY our beloved “COMEDY KING”… Sa aking palagay eh di na kailangan maging HENYO… Di kailangan ng masusing research… Di kailangan ng kung ano ano pang red tape….. Ilang henerasyon ang pinangiti, pinasaya at pinagkaisa ni Mang Dolphy… Ilang artista ang gumaya, nagkahanap buhay (My Mother, the former Nina Zaldua… made several movies with Dolphy in the 60’s)… at “nainspire” sa kanya? Its a NO BRAINER… DOPLHY SHOULD HAVE BEEN GIVEN THE NATIONAL ARTIST AWARD….MATAGAL NA! Mabuhay ka Mang Dolphy! May the Good Lord give you strength, better health and more quality time on earth…With your loved ones and the millions of Filipinos you have touched.”

a delightful morning day with buddies lance and carlo…

(the music video above is another version of the traditional Celtic folk song- “The Water Is wide”.

“The Water is Wide a haunting melody that expresses a special bond I have with the love of my life. For us I share this song..”

The setting: Starbucks Tomas Morato.

The wheather was fine. The wind was cool. Fruits of Sampaloc falling down on my head as I waited outside the smoking area of this coffee shop. And it was an important day.

It was a meeting with handsome guys- Lance Raymundo and Carlo Cruz.

They were buddies since young. Friends forever.

“Actually, there are four of us- me, Carlo, Al Magpayo and Hanna”, Lance said to this blogger. “We’re always a group, usually. And we really all enjoy each other’s company.”

Lance and Carlo usually runs together at different places (running keeps them fit), and they also do boxing together.

“Carlo is a good boxer”, Lance continued saying. “He once knocked down a relative of a well-known boxer/champion.”

But Carlo simply smiled. His humility engrossed this blogger.

It was his turn to speak:

“Lance is the ‘kalog’ type among our group of friends”, Carlo said to this blogger while his deep & soulful eyes almost melted us. “He may look serious to others, but with his intimate friends, he is the ‘palabiro’ (jokeful) type. He always makes us laugh.”

But how did Carlo tell Lance that he’s also joining showbiz?

“Yeah, even if we’re friends, I never told him that I also wanted to be an actor like him”, Carlo said. “And it was so hard to tell him. But on one occasion, I simply told him while we’re inside a car that I am joining an acting workshop and that’s when he knew.”

FREEZE. FAST-FORWARD….

What a delightful morning….

With gentle creatures like Lance and Carlo.  With laughters and smiles… coffeees, sandwiches, and sudden gazes and stolen stares.

And as I walked down the wooden stairs of Starbucks coffee shop, Carlo reached -out for my hand when he saw me limping.

It was the most “very gentlemanly” touch of a lending hand to help.

As I said:

“Cool. Thanks.”

And he smiled.

the rhythm of lance…

lance, his rhythm… and his wolf.

his music feeds my soul.

his eyes stares at my void…

his smile pacifies…

a tired soul

like

mine.

his rhythm gently flows…

and dances

the sorrows and my joys.

he is my poet

of this wakeful life.

his rhythm

set

me

free…

my tears

will be wiped.

my battle

will be won.

my ally,

my friend,

my angel.

who will be my rhythm for always

and for ever.
