HERE’S MY OWN COMPLETE LIST OF THE “LIVING ANGELS” OF THE PHILIPPINE ENTERTAINMENT WORLD.

1.) SHARON CUNETA

She’s a silent doer. Never expecting for anything in return. An angel!

2.) KC CONCEPCION

Like mother, like daughter. With that, KC is NUMBER TWO on this list!

3.) GOVERNOR VILMA SANTOS

She has inspired a lot of people-fans, artists, performers and ordinary people with her sweetness and charm, and dedication to the film industry. Now, she serves the people of Batangas province as Governor. And she never failed to fulfill whatever task that’s given to her.

4.) BOOTS ANSON-ROA

She’s still very much out there to help showbiz industry’s ordinary workers- through the privatized MOWELFUND (Movie Workers Welfare Fund)- which Miss Boots Anson-Roa graciously tries to fight for its survival, being the present Chairman of Mowelfund. A unique task. A brave fight. We bow our heads to you, Miss Boots Anson Roa!

5.) BOY ABUNDA

Uplifting the ‘morale’ and the ‘spirits’ of LGBT’s (Lesbians, gays, bisexuals and transgenders) is no easy task. But Mr. Boy Abunda swims harder on, for them. He also protects the dignity of his co-workers in the

entertainment industry by sharing a big part of himself to them, contributing his talents and offering a great amount of service. With that, Mr. Boy Abunda landed on the 5th slot of our LIST.

6.) ROSA ROSAL

She is the RED CROSS. And the Philippine National Red Cross will never be the same again, if without her.

7.) MANNY PACQUIAO

A hero not just in terms of sports and achievements, but a hero who really DID HELP the masses.

8.) JOHNNY MANAHAN

Protecting the image of the STARS- who are the idols of the youths, the masses and the commoners is his TASK.  Exploitation of the stars in the Philippine showbiz scene was ‘extinguished’ because of his efforts, by showing a good example of creating “better stars” in his home studio- ABS-CBN channel 2. Our hats-off.

9.) JOSE MARI CHAN

The beauty of the Philippine music industry will never be the same without the name “Jose Mari Chan”.

10.) JOEL LAMANGAN

His brave fight to “still save” the poor people, the farmers and the good rebels of this country continues on through the messages he tries to impart in his films.

11.) JESSICA SOHO – She may look chubby, weak, unfit to fight the battles. But she has done so much. In her brave task of being a TV news reporter – host of channel 7.
12.) SEN. BONG REVILLA – He has done so many charitable projects for the poor. He is the ‘ideal’ IDOL. Strong, fierce, responsible. He fits to be a KING.
13.) TONI GONZAGA – When she visited a movie fan of hers- a young & handsome athletic guy who soon succumbed to cancer, she showed to the whole world the beauty of LOVE & SYMPHATHY.
14.) MARILOU DIAZ-ABAYA- Her brave battle to survive the dreaded disease of cancer is an all-out divine inspiration to
everyone. He positive attitude to fight her sickness helps others face the realities of life. She has put-up her own film                                                                   school and one of the strongest women warriors of Philippine Cinema.
15.) WANGGO GALLAGA – His openness of being an AIDS victim served as an enlightenment to everyone.
16.) REZ CORTEZ – Artistry is in his blod. First becoming a member of the Cultural Center of the Philippines’ dancers, he became an actor right after and proved to be one of the best. He’s now under NCCA (National Center for Culture & the Arts)’s Execom for Film. But he’s always on the forefront of many battles in the field of arts and politics. A brave man.
17.) RICKY LEE – Sharing his artistry for scriptwring for thousands of young and budding scriptwriters is one commendable ‘angelic’ task. For more than 20 years now, yearly. He has produced a vast crop of great film writers of this generation.
18.) IMEE MARCOS-MANOTOC – Her love for the Film Arts and Theater never stops. She continues on, no matter what kind of regimes and dynasties are there.
19.) GARY VALENCIANO – He showed to the whole generation of artists that being a Christian is NOT a sin.
20.) BASIL VALDEZ – His ‘Tahanang Walang Hagdan’ lingers on to the hearts and minds of people wanting to help.
21.) MON CONFIADO- What would the “indie scene” be without Mr. Mon Confiado? He embraced them, loved them, lifted them… and, in return, they loved him back. And Mon has helped many indie film artists. An angel…
22.) JOSE JAVIER REYES – He has guided many film artists to the right path. Became a role model for other literary film writers. He has helped many young actors and actresses showcase their acting skills in his films. And he has inspired  the youth, mostly students.
23.) GERALD ANDERSON – The image was eternal. A young man braving the big storm and swimming in a high-flooded subdivision to save another human being’s life. The young man’s name: Gerald Anderson.
24.) RICHARD GOMEZ – His “MAD (Mad & Against Drugs)” campaign surely did wonders when he ran for a political seat a few years ago. Now that he’s running for Politics again, may he win. Addiction to drugs is not an easy thing to kill. But we   guess, Richard can do wonders to stop it.
25.) LANCE RAYMUNDO – Seeing this young man’s kindness to his fans and to the poor people who idolizes him- in person & up close, made this blogger cry a few times. He helps them and treats them well. A very gentle soul. A very loving human being.
26.) THE YOUNG INDIE FILM ARTISTS OF CINEMALAYA – There are so many of them, the so-called: indie film directors, indie film actors and actresses, production people, make-up artists, indie film producers, etcetra… – all uniting in one common task, that is, to uplift the arts of Filmaking. Angels, young angels, on the rise…
27.) JANICE HUNG – She put-up “MuzikAcademy”, which helps young music artists- singers, composers, band players, and the likes- showcase their talents and greatness in  a yearly Music Camp & contest. She participates in many charitable  projects and teaches children learn the unique skills of Martial Arts called Wushu. She also has her own Janice Hung Foundation which provides help to the poor people.
28.) MA. ISABEL LOPEZ – Showbiz people sometimes calls her – “The Queen of Wakes & Hospital Rooms”. Because you will always see her in the wake of a dead showbiz friend and personalities, on the sickbed of sick showbiz people and
friends. She will gather her resources and connections and friends of friends- just to help the sick and the dead. That’s Maribel. And no one can beat her on that. A true warrior angel!
29.) ROBIN PADILLA – He reaches out. To the common people. The masses who idolizes him. He also helps his fellow Muslim brothers. Setting up schools, foundations, charitable projects, etcetra. That’s why they call him- “Astig!”
30.) THE TULFO BROTHERS – No matter what, they help and help and help… They may look like  gangster action stars  to some, but their contributions to protect the people from the bad ones are remarkable. And they must stay on as mediamen- brave & fierce. They are the kind of living angels that really battles the FIGHT!
