Finally! JM De Guzman’s 2^ndalbum is now available in all record bars for only P250.

“Prior to its release in the market, I was able to preview the songs from this album entitled ‘Tensionado’. My personal favorites are ‘Terrified’ (duet with Acoustic Diva Suy) & ‘Have I Told You Lately’ by Rod Stewart. His soothing voice, relax singing style and current emotional state (heartbroken) indeed added more drama and depth to the songs.

 

Released under Ivory Music & Video, ‘Tensionado’ is a collection of JM’s renditions of his favorite songs featuring ‘Lost In Space’ by Lighthouse Family, ‘Don’t Give Up On Us’ by David Soul and ‘Tensionado’ by Soapdish.  Also a collaboration with singer Jaq Dionisio of Kiss Jane is the hit song ‘Akin Ka Na Lang’, which is the album’s carrier single.  

 

‘Tensionado’ album has 8 tracks, 6 revivals and 2 original compositions. ‘Warrior’ an acoustic ballad about searching for one’s self in this endless journey about love and also ‘Stupidest’ about unrequited love”.

“By the way, I first met JM on January of 2011 at Starbucks ABS-CBN. He joined me and my friends and there we had a little conversation about his show at that time entitled ‘Precious Heart Romances Presents: Alyna’.  

 

JM has always been sweet, romantic, soft-spoken and accommodating. I have experienced how he is as a celebrity and more to how as a person. Very passionate in everything; from singing to acting and even when it comes to loving. He knows his role as real prince to girls out there. A real gentleman who takes good care of every woman he is with, from co-actors  to his fans.

 

I’m sure many of you would agree with me that other than being incredibly good as an actor & singer, he is also undeniably telegenic. He can even make anyone say yes to him just by his facial gestures.

 

The last time I saw him was just last December during the Red Carpet Premiere Screening of his MMFF Entry movie ‘The Strangers’ under Star Cinema”.

Limang magkakaibang mundo. Limang pagkatao. Limang JM DE GUZMAN!

“GIVE ME FIVE, MAN!”, expresyon ng kasiyahan, kaganapan at pagmamahal sa buhay. Ang katagang ‘Give Me, Five!’ ay pinauso ng mga African-Americans noon pang 1970′s. Very “slang” man ang ekspresyon na ‘yan, pero para sa isang blogger, ang ekspresyon na ‘yan ay VERY POWERFUL. It gives an assurance of a GREAT LIFE.

AT, kapag sinabi mong LIMA, ang ibig sabihin nu’n ay BUHAY. It’s the symbol life. FIVE is a symbol of LIFE.

Maski nu’ng panahon pa ng mga ‘cro-magnon’ man (the ancient ancestors of MAN), nagbigay na sila ng pagpapahalaga sa buhay. Nag-carve sila sa mga kuweba ng hugis-kamay na limang daliri- signifying that they love life and that they value life. Sa iba namang mga ancient ancestors ng mga tao, nag-drawing din sila at gumuhit sa mga kuweba ng LIMANG DALIRI NA KAMAY.

Kaya naman maski nuon pang unang panahon, matatalino na talaga ang mga nilikhang tao ng DIYOS. Ang lima ay buhay.

At isang JM DE GUZMAN ang nagtataglay din ng limang artistikong mga katangian ng BUHAY. Isang binatang simple, tahimik, malalim. Napaimbubulog sa napakagagandang mga ekspresyon ng buhay- ang musika, ang teatro, ang telebisyon, ang pelikula at ang entablado.

Kapag ikaw ay isang nilalang na nagtaglay ng limang artistikong mga katangian at talentong ito- isa kang SUGO NG NG NASA ITAAS. Isa kang anghel na nagmula sa langit na pinababa sa lupa upang makapgdulot ng kasiyahan at kagandahan sa buhay… At iyan marahil siguro ang misyon ni JM de Guzman sa mundong ito. Hindi siya pinababa sa lupa para lamang sa sarili niya- pinababa siya sa lupa para makapag-inspire sa mga tao. Para makapagdulot ng mas higit pang mga artistikong kahulugan ng buhay… at ng PAGMAMAHAL.

CUT TO. FLASHBACK. A FEW DAYS AGO AT A CERTAIN COFFEE SHOP IN TOMAS MORATO, Q.C.:

Isang blogger ang tahimik na nakaupo sa smoking area ng isang coffee shop sa Tomas Morato. Alam niya sa sarili niya, hindi siya bibiguin ng isang mahalagang tao na kausap niya sa araw na iyon. Isang bituing hinahangaan ng libu-libong mga tagahanga. Napupuno niya ang malls at lobby areas ng Cultural Center of the Philippines kapag may pagtatanghal siya sa mga entablado ng mga malls at kapag may mga pelikula siyang ipinalalabas sa mga lugar na iyon. More than five times na ring nagkaroon ng mga stampedes sa CCP at sa mga malls ng dahil kay JM. Talagang mina-mob siya ng mga tao.

“Ang isang tulad ko, bibigyan ni JM ng solo niyang oras para lamang sa isang panayam for my blog?”, naitanong pa ng isang blogger sa kanyang sarili. Hindi niya alam kung bakit. Para sa kanya, ang makita lang si JM muli ay sapat na upang MABUHAY siya.

Sa tulong ng isang malapit na kamag-anak ni JM (isang tao sa nakaraang buhay ng isang blogger na naging mahalaga sa puso niya), nai-set-up ang simpleng panayaman na ‘yun. Para sa blogger na ‘yun, handa na siya sa kung anumang mangyayari. Gusto lang talaga niyang makita si JM. Kung sumipot man o hindi, handa siya. Pero maghihintay siya, gaano man katagal. Basta, maghihintay siya…

“I was about to give-up waiting and waiting and waiting… I was about to leave… but as I opened the door of a coffee shop to finally leave, my cellphone rang. On the other line was a living soul. He told me: ‘TUMINGIN KA SA LIKOD MO, ROBERT. NANDITO NA AKO’. As I looked back, I thought I see GOD. But it was a living person. It was JM DE GUZMAN”.

Iyan ang tumataginting na Facebook status ng isang blogger sa kanyang Facebook wall. Handa siyang mabuhay, handa rin siyang mamatay. Pero patuloy pa rin siyang maniniwala at mananalig sa FRIENDSHIP, at sa puso.

Para sa isang taong simple lamang at kuntento nang nasa isang sulok ng kanyang kuwarto at nag-iisa, sapat na sa kanya ang makita sa personal ang mga taong minamahal niya. Ang matulungan ang kanyang ina sa mga gawain nito, ang maging isang mabuting kaibigan at maniwala sa kapangyarihan ng pagibig- ang buhay ay mananatiling NAPAKAGANDA para sa kanya. Maski ba nakita niya ang pagibig sa kakaibang kaurian nito.

Pero para sa isang popular na tao na sobrang abala sa kanyang buhay at alam niyang sinasamba siya ng libu-libong tao at napakarami ang nagsusumamo sa kanyang panahon- ang magbigay ng oras para sa isang ordinaryong blogger at kaibigan ay isang NAPAKALAKING PAGBIBIGAY. Just think of all the efoorts and sacrifices he has made just to please ONE PERSON. Hindi ba’t nakakataba ng puso iyon?

Hindi siya nakalimot sa taong ‘yun, hindi niya binale-wala. Binigyan niya ito ng PAGMAMAHAL. Ang kapalit nu’n, ang mga kantsaw, panghuhusga, pang-aasar at pagbibigay-sisi sa kanya ng ibang mga tao. Lalo na ng mga detractors niya at ng mga intrigero.

Pero hindi nila naharang si JM. Hindi nila napigilan ang BUHAY ng isang blogger.

Dumating si JM.

Buo ang loob. Masaya. Nakangiti. Very sincere.

Hayun si JM, tila isang anghel at tila isang DIYOS na nakatingin na sa harapan ko ng ako’y lumingon patalikod habang kausap ko siya sa cellphone ko. Halos himatayin ako.

Ito ang alay ng buhay. Kusang-loob. At naniniwala ang blogger na iyon, sadyang naroon si JM bilang “proxy” ng isa niyang “unseen friend”.  Habang wala pa ang unseen friend niya (pero dumating na muli)…

“Give me five, JM!”, sinabi ng blogger na iyon sa kanyang sarili ng palihim habang kinakapanayam niya si JM De Guzman. Bigyan mo ako ng BUHAY! Nagmi-meet ang flow of thoughts nilang dalawa habang nag-uusap. Meron silang “psychic connection”.

Tumagal ng 30 minutes ang panayaman na iyon. Habang nagaganap iyon, hindi pinahalata ng blogger ang paglipad ng kanyang kaluluwa just to dig deeper into JM’s very being.

Napakahirap naman kasing akapin ng isang ordinaryong tao ang isang sikat na tao dahil mas mataas ang respeto niya dito keysa sa nararamdaman ng puso niya. Kailangang alam niya ang linya na dapat niyang tahakin. He should know “how to draw the line” between respect to a celebrity and to the feelings he have to him…

Sa mga mata na lang sila nag-usap.

Isang mariing akbay sa balikat lamang ang naibigay ni JM sa blogger na ‘yun. At bilang tugon sa kanyang pagbibigay- to give back the love & friendship he gave- nagkaroon ng lakas ng loob ang blogger na iyon nang papaalis na si JM (at hahakbang na palayo upang bumalik sa kanyang kotse dahil marami pa siyang mga schedules sa showbiz sa araw na iyon) na SUMIGAW kay JM ng tatlong salitang ito:

“I LOVE YOU, JM!”.

Ngumiti lang si JM. Isang ngiti na sobrang saya. Isang blessing para sa marami pa niyang gagawin na mga misyon sa buhay.

“the strangers”: when the ‘new breed’ creates a powerful sound of an emerging new kind of cinematic pleasure!

jm de guzman: his character in the film “the strangers” deserves a PART TWO.

The ‘new breed’.

They are braver, fiercer, bolder, and faster!

They create a more powerful sound, like that of a pack of wolves about to attack a prey. Or an erupting volcano out to cover the land with a burning lava and hard ashes of  ’lahar‘…

The ‘new breed’.

They are out to steal the show from the old ones, conquering the spaces and the frames, lavishing in a great cinematic pleasure of a totally new kind of an horror film- “THE STRANGERS”.

“The New Breed”: JM De Guzman, Enchong Dee, Julia Montes and Enrique Gil totally overpowered the acting ‘greatnesses’ of veteran actors and actresses like Cherie Pie Picache, Jaime Fabregas, Janice de Belen, Mark Gil (who appeared briefly in the last scene of the film) and Johnny Revilla in this film. These young performers showed so much ‘angst’ and pain in this film- with great diversity and nuances in acting styles and a totally impressive respective techniques in acting that an ordinary viewer could feel so much satisfaction and ecstasy.

JM was totally “in character” all throughout the movie. His consistency in each sequences were so correct and perfect- playing a provinciano lad with a kind heart to strangers who dangerously crossed a path of a “monster-infested” jungle-land of a remote village. But in reality, the strangers he protected were the ones who killed his parents at the ending of the film.

You could shed a tear or two at the near-end of the movie when JM discovered the dead bodies of his father and mother, and his character could be developed for a “Part Two” of this movie ‘coz he could be out for revenge someday. Indeed, JM WAS A REVELATION IN THIS FILM!

Enchong Dee was  ”the most surprisingly good performer” in this movie. His characterization of a ‘dual character’ (first, a nice husband whose wife and kid were killed, and later on, a hermit who vowed to kill the monsters or asuwangs) were totally in contrast, and it made him a real actor to feel. His death scene here was so symphatetic and very powerfully-’directed’. Even in a long beard and dirty looks, Enchong was so handsome in this movie, and his speaking lines were so gentle but so penetrating. He got the best role of all, and he gave so much  justice into it.

enchong delivered his lines in the movie “the strangers” with great depth. his dual-characterization in the said film were so impressive!

Julia Montes also did a great job! She didn’t over-act in those heavy scenes she got in, and her transformation of a nice stranger-lady turning into a monster was so horrifying and Julia surely knew how to divert her kind of acting into something so frightening. It was in her scenes that a blogger who watched the movie really got scared!

And finally, Mr. Enrique Gil. Oh, my. This teen actor surely inherited within himself the correct methods of how to act so good. He got the STRONGEST character of all in this film. He killed and defeated the character of Enchong, biting him hard until Julia took her turn and finished-off Enchong. He’s also the one who ‘ate and killed’ JM’s dad (portrayed so convingcingly by theater actor Art Acuna) and made the STRANGERS be the victors against the gentle humans in the end.

But Enrique’s good looks didn’t steal the show. It was his great performance in the movie that blended so well with all the others that made this movie all the more magnificent.

Director Law Fajardo surely knew how to get there. He choreographed his scenes with a careful mind and a great ‘ease’. But in the later half of the film, you could feel that POWERFUL SOUND of a great, new kind of an horror film, never before done in Philippine Cinema. Also a “new breed” as a director, director Fajardo made so much havoc to all other horror film directors, and now, they could be so much afraid of him.

Miss Tanya Gomez was the only veteran performer in this movie that was “in parallel” with the “new breeds”. In each of her scenes, you could feel a great aura of mystery and superb acting. Sorry to say, but Ms. Cherie Pie Picache and Ms. Janice de Belen (the other veteran actresses included in this film) were both so low in “acting styles” here. They should shift to a different way of attacking their characters, and they should both also apply it even in the TV soap opera on channel 2 that they’re both together in. They didn’t blend together in this film, that we did say now.

The cinematography, the editing and the sound- shot and created in this movie were totally fantastic! Our hats-off for the people in credits for those powerful sounds, good film-cuts and cinematic shots- which were not exaggerated in details but simply gratifying. Even both  the story and the screenplay of this film were tremendous. Compared to that ‘other one’ horror film entry at the Metro Manila Film Festival whose “screenplays” were simply out to impress but so disappointing for an ordinary movie viewer. Did you get what this meant? Haha.

Yes, it’s time for NEW BREEDS that will create a ‘nerve-wrecking’ sound to the older breeds. It is now their turn.

And director Law Fajardo simply proved them right.

“THE STRANGERS” ranked as the second best film we saw in the past year of 2012. Mabuhay!!!

“Hindi ko lang talaga alam kung kailan exactly, pero pakakasalan ko si Angel! She’s really the one!”, ito ang tumataginting na naging pahayag ni Phil Younghusband nu’ng minsang mag-guest siya sa TV show ni Kris Aquino.

On nationwide TV, sa harap ng madlang people, walang takot na sinabi ito ni Phil! Which only means that- HANDA NA TALAGA SIYA SA PAG-IISANG DIBDIB NILA NG GF-ACTRESS NIYANG SI ANGEL LOCSIN VERY SOON!

Napakasuwerte naman po talaga nitong si Angel sa PAGIBIG and in choosing the right man for her. Hindi siya nagkamali kay Phil. Hindi siya nilinlang lamang ng binatang athlete-model.

Walang masilip na kung anumang ‘baho’ o “bad smell” sa kalinisan at kawagasan ng kanilang pag-iibigan na malapit nang humantong ngayon sa dambana in the near future. Si Phil, maski ba well-known athlete siya, never siyang na-link kung kani-kanino. Hindi siya babaero. At very “saintly” ang appeal niya sa publiko.

Si Angel naman, wala ring scandalous na intriga sa kanyang personal life. Si Phil pa lamang ang nabalitang unang lalaking inibig niya.

“She’s so beautiful and sexy”, huling nasambit pa ni Phil sa Kris TV show. “I understand her job as an actress that’s why I never get jealous.”

Every year, the Kapamilya Network marks the start of the yuletide season with the launch of the ABS-CBN Christmas station ID. It has become almost a yearly tradition that Filipinos around the globe look forward to.

Lumiliwanag ang Mundo sa Kwento ng Pasko, our Christmas Station ID theme, highlights how the Filipino spirit always shines through despite calamities that ravage our country. It shows how each one of us become bearers of light, as we help our countrymen get back on their feet… how we remain resilient because kindness never runs out, because help always comes.

Many scenes in the SID are inspired by real events. Some of these stories happened at the height of the habagat – A fireman saved the lives of those stranded in their own homes; a chef opened the doors of his restaurant to feed victims; a young woman offered her own jacket to a street child who was suffering under the cold rain; Philippine coast guards went out of their way to save lives; Volunteers and civilians selflessly offered their time and energy to relief work.

This year’s offering features hundreds of Kapamilya stars paying tribute to ordinary Filipino heroes, at the same time helping spread the light across the globe.

The parol, a Pinoy Christmas icon, is this year’s Christmas SID centerpiece. Film director John-D Lazatin suggested the idea of having kids orphaned during Typhoon Sendong design a parol. This, in turn, is used as an instrument of light spreading around the world. When we own the Kapamilya parol, we’re not only spreading the light, we’re also being part of an effort to help our disaster affected Kapamilyas, as proceeds from the parol sales would be donated to Sagip Kapamilya, the ABS-CBN Foundation arm which provides relief to affected communities of disasters, as well as engage in rehabilitation and disaster risk reduction projects.

This year’s Christmas anthem was written by Robert Labayen, ABS-CBN’s Vice President of Creative Communications Management with music by Marcus and Amber Davis. It was performed by an ensemble of Kapamilya artists — Sarah Geronimo, Martin Nievera, Zsa Zsa Padilla, Vina Morales, Billy Crawford; the Champions Angeline Quinto, Yeng Constantino, Erik Santos, Jed Madela, Christian Bautista, Bugoy Drilon, Marcelito Pomoy, Jovit Baldivino; the Sessionistas Aiza Seguerra, Richard Poon, Juris, Princess, Sitti, Kean Cipriano and Bamboo; X Factor Philippines Grand Winner KZ Tandingan, kid singers from ABS-CBN Star Magic; Daniel Padilla and Piolo Pascual.

KZ Tandingan was nervous on the shoot of her line for the song because it was her first music video shoot.

Angel Locsin took time during and after the shoot to talk to the Red Cross Volunteers about her experiences during her volunteer work.

Kris Aquino was very happy during the shoot as she interacted with the Sagip Kapamilya Volunteers, the Bacoor Cavite Police, the Santa Lucia North Fairview Firemen, Red Cross Emergency Response Unit, and members of the Philippine Military.

PBB Teens and Gerald Anderson went on location at the Artex Compound in Malabon for the shoot of the SID. Residents of the compound were delighted to see them. Female residents were the ones tasked to row their small boats for the artists, their regular means of transport around the flooded compound.

MANILA, Philippines – Actress Andi Eigenmann has already forgiven her former boyfriend Albie Casiño, who is also the father of her daughter baby Adrianna Gabrielle.

The actress said this is despite the fact that Casiño has yet to say sorry to her.

In an interview with “The Buzz” aired on Sunday, the “Kahit Puso’y Masugatan” actress said: “Dati lagi ko pong sinasabi na parang wala po akong napapatawad kasi wala namang nagso-sorry. Pero ngayon parang para sa akin, on my own, parang sinabi ko na lang na let’s say sorry siya, sige napatawad ko. Tsaka ako rin naman at the same time, sorry rin naman ako.”

According to Eigenmann, it is wrong to blame Casiño alone because she is aware that she has also hurt him in the past.

“Hindi naman siya masamang tao. Ang bait-bait nun, siguro he just made wrong decisions in his life. Hindi ko po puwedeng sabihin na siya lang ‘yung… just because ginawa niya ‘yun, siya na ‘yung masama. Nasaktan ko rin po siya,” she said.

Eigenmann, however, said she will not force Casiño if he does not want to see their daughter.

“Hindi naman niya po anak si Ellie. Biologically, yeah. They look so much alike. Kung ayaw niya, hindi. Hindi ko na ipipilit ‘yun. Wala nang ganun. Sayang lang sa time ko,” she said.

Eigenmann said a lot of people love her daughter, so not having Casiño around will not make a difference.

“Ellie has so much fans, everyone loves her. We don’t need them,” she said.

Meanwhile, Eigenmann’s face brightened up when asked if she is currently inspired.

“Besides Ellie, I have na an inspiration. There’s someone na special to me, pero I’m not in a relationship. I’m single. I just don’t want to force things because we both always make it a point for the supposed relationship not to fail. So kung alam namin it will be hard, hindi na namin muna ipipilit. We’re just waiting for the right time,” she said.

Just two weeks ago, Eigenmann via Twitter shared images showing her with Jake Ejercito, as well as with her daughter.

The 22-year-old actress’ tweets have been viewed as hints of her continuing closeness with the the son of former president Joseph Estrada.
