Vicente Garcia Groyon’s “Sky Over Dimas”
The Harlequin Theatre Guild of De La Salle University brings to life this March a celebrated novel by Palanca Award- winner Vicente Groyon, translated for the stage by Tim Dacanay.
This piece tells the story of how a disturbing phone call in the dead of the night launches young Rafael Torrecarion on a rescue mission in Bacolod.
Returning to his hometown leads him deep into the tortured history of the Torrecarions, where lies a web of long-buried secrets, preserving, and threatening the foundations of the family.

DLSU Harlequin Theatre Guild (HTG), is the premier and only recognized theatre organization of the University. The guild has showcased several plays and productions depicting pertinent life stories and exemplifying Filipino culture and the arts. As the Academic Year 2012-2013 comes to a close, the guild’s effort continues to inspire the community with its staging of another promising theater experience.
Now on its 46th season, HTG presents Vicente Garcia Groyon’s “Sky Over Dimas.”, adapted by Tim Dacanay of CSB – School Of Design And Arts. It will also be directed by 2012 Aliw Awards nominee Mr. Romualdo R. Tejada, a senior artist-teacher of the Philippine Educational Theatre Association, an experienced director. He has directed a lot of remarkable productions, both international and local.
The production will also be starring Mr. Toby Alejar, a renowned television actor, director, and producer.
